Heather brings home team Gold at the 1st Ultra distance and mountain running Commonwealth
Championships Last weekend.


After a steady conservative start of 9 miles up hill from Keswick to Lake Thermire,
Heather started the 70km loops of the lake. individual 3rd for the majority of the race.yet after her 43rd
unscheduled stop in the woods, Heather was glad to finish 5th and relived to find her way home after
getting lost twice and having to retrace her steps back to Keswick, Bringing her 100km team home triumphant.


England combined time for 3 counting athletes was 25 hours 20mins, this was a whopping 1 hour 17 mins ahead
of 2nd place Scotland and 4 hours 36mins ahead of Bronze medalists Canada Heather had the honor of being flag
bearer for all the England teams at the opening ceremony.
